Sound Masking Acoustic System

Sound masking decreases distractions and improves concentration and productivity. A noise reducing or masking system introduces “pink noise” (similar principle as white noise but a specially altered spectrum)

This specially formulated broadband noise is played through discreet speakers located within the ceiling void which unobtrusively raises the ambient (background) noise level within the noise sensitive office.

This elevation of the ambient noise makes the spikes in disturbing noise less of a distraction for staff within the environment. It effectively acts to mask the noise from other sources.

The human ear is programmed to focus hearing on the wavelengths of normal speech so we find it very difficult to ignore intelligible human speech*. That is why the overheard conversations of others in the workplace is one of the biggest complaints in open plan offices

The sound used is a pre-programmed sound that is uniquely uniform, unobtrusive and pleasant
